PUBG’s Season 7 provides a dangerous new environment for players to traverse, but thankfully they won’t have to worry about things like falling through the ice or dying from hypothermia. Instead, players will have to keep an eye on moving trains, evidence of vehicle traffic, and the ever-present looming blue circle which, while it still does the same amount of damage as gamers are used to, provides a smaller initial safe area than people are used to. There are a number of new and revised areas in Season 7’s version of Vikendi, and some of the best ones to drop into are detailed be
In offline games where someone plays solo, cheating can make the game a lot more fun. But in multiplayer games, especially online, cheating can be a game-ruining experience for most gamers. That’s why it’s astounding how PUBG has so many cheaters. The developers have refused to region-lock the game, so it’s had cheaters since the beginning, and the problem has only gotten worse with time. These cheaters make the game a lot less fun, and frustrated gamers tend to go to Fortni
PUBG has massive maps, so vehicles are often necessary to cross the map faster. This would be good enough with one or two types of vehicle, but PUBG has several. The vehicles range from vans to motorbikes and even buggies. They are also realistic, in stark contrast to the vehicles in Fortnite —like the shopping cart, golf cart and hamster b
While PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is far from the first Battle Royale game to exist, its early access release on PC during the first quarter of 2017 unquestionably kick-started a resurgence of the genre. Ever since then, myriad developers have been keen to introduce a bunch of different takes on this type of survival and last-man-standing gameplay. For example, Activision and Treyarch brought Blackout to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 , Red Dead Online introduced its own unique Battle Royale game mode called “Make It Count”, and of course, Epic Games found massive success in turning Fortnite ‘s Battle Royale into a free-to-play phenomenon. Now, with PUBG ‘s arrival on PlayStation 4 having occurred nearly two years after its introduction to the masses, it begs the question of whether or not the game is actually a necessity for Battle Royale fans on PS4, or a perfunctory shooter that made its leap onto the Sony console far too l
But which ones are actually worth your time? With such a remarkably lengthy catalog of battle royale titles looking to cash in on the fad, the sheer number of options can be just a little overwhelming. Just dive into the list below to see the top five battle royale games that are definitely worth checking out (if you haven’t already), alongside five that should be avoided at all co
Its battle royale mode, Firestorm, takes a unique spin on the genre by surrounding players with a ring of flames. Players can ride vehicles, decimate buildings into a pile of wreckage, and prove themselves in competitive 64-player matches. Battlefield V: Firestorm is not free-to-play, yet it provides high value for its play
The smaller of the two hot springs (Vetrnica) also offers a fair amount of cover on the way into Cantra, especially if players stay under the bridges, so those who prefer stealthier approaches should consider dropping on the outskirts and loading up on Mosin-Nagant ammo near the water, then edging along the side of the cliff wall towards town in order to maintain the element of surprise. Being located on the coast is also a point in Cantra’s favor, as those are one of the few times PUBG allows players to disregard enemies coming from one entire direct
We didn’t even get this as much as we wanted in the last entry, but Fortnite is fast. Good luck trying to get your dad into the game because if you’re not on your P’s and Q’s you’re going to get pwned by some 8-year-old wearing a snap-back sideways within minutes of dropping off the battle bus. PUBG however, is more in line with the game play of a classic shooter. It’s slow, almost empty at times and getting kills in it usually requires a much more patient, methodical approach. Sure the best players can run-n-gun like it’s nobodies business, but if you play the game slow you have a good chance of making it
A few other good locations in PUBG’s updated Vikendi which it would be remiss not to mention are Goroka, Dobro Mesto (specifically, the shipyard area), Trevno, and the Coal Mine. While many players will want to shoot straight for locations like the Cement Factory, the Castle, Sawmill, and Final Fantasy Xv Pocket Edition Volnova, these other, slightly lesser-traveled locations not only provide a good tactical advantage for players but often contain large amounts of top tier loot, which is something people will definitely need if they’re looking to earn themselves a (likely frozen) chicken dinner in PlayerUnknown’s BATTLEGROUN
Even if we compare the OG maps from these two games it’s a bit of a toss up as to which is the winner. Sure Fortnite has Tilted Towers, but PUBG has School; and in case you don’t play the latter, School is a place where half of the lobby’s players drop resulting in a massacre that leaves only one or two survivors who are barely clinging to life. But that’s just the OG maps, PUBG now has four unique maps, all of which are just as good as the original in their own rights. Fortnite is finally making an alteration to it’s original map, so there’s not much competition h
